Essence is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Paramount, leading emerging talent efforts across Paramount’s suite of brands, including CBS, MTV, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Paramount+ and more. In her role, she oversees domestic recruiting for internships, entry-level positions, and post-graduate development programs.

Beyond her recruiting work, Essence is an active member of The BEAT+, the Black Employee Resource Group, as well as Paramount’s community service arm.

Essence is a graduate of James Madison University where she studied Sports Communication and Human Resources. She started her career at Paramount as an intern and has been with the company ever since. Leading the team that helped launch her career is a full-circle moment, and she remains passionate about recruiting the next generation of talent.
