Director of Undergraduate Programs, Forté
Leah Lattimore is the Director of Undergraduate Programs at Forté. Forté is committed to launching women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, professional development, and a community of successful women. Prior to joining Forté, Leah was the Assistant Vice President for Inclusive Global Student Leadership and Engagement within New York University’s Office of Global Inclusion and oversaw the University’s Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP) and its LGBTQ+ Center. She began her career at CBS and Citigroup, but with the 2008 recession looming she altered her professional trajectory and joined the New York University’s Wasserman Career Development Center. She held several roles including the Senior Associate Director of Multicultural and Global Programs—a position that allowed her to have an impact on the post-graduation success of university students. Leah focused on supporting historically underrepresented students at NYU and increasing their career opportunities in a range of sectors. She established NYU Shanghai’s Career Development Center, serving as its Deputy Director as well as the Senior Director of the Wasserman Center. She then transitioned to support NYU’s university-wide inclusion, diversity, belonging, and equity initiatives as the director of CMEP. Leah earned her BA in English and MA in Higher Education from NYU and is currently pursuing her doctorate in education at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
What now? That is the question that many organizations, universities, and recruiting professionals who occupy the diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging space asked in light of recent national and global political developments. How can we continue our commitment to DEIB? What strategies are others implementing to advance their work? How do I remain motivated during challenging times? While we do not have all the answers to these questions, we have connected with colleagues across industry and function to answer the question, “What now?” During this roundtable, we will explore strategies moving forward and identify tangible and actionable steps for advancing DEIB.
