Manager, North American Internships, GeoComply
Shandy Johnston is the Manager of North American Internships at GeoComply, where she leads the full-cycle campus recruitment process and intern engagement program for over 100 interns annually across 7 offices. Using creative ideas, data-driven decisions, and in-depth knowledge of campus resources, she's created unique employer branding opportunities to build a strong early talent pipeline. She previously worked in Co-operative Education at the University of Waterloo for over a decade, where she supported thousands of students during their work terms and helped employers develop strategic campus recruitment plans. She is passionate about early talent development and creating meaningful connections to ensure candidates find their perfect job match.
Over the last few months, GeoComply has strategically built strong relationships with student clubs and organizations that focus on supporting DEI and equity-deserving groups. With these partnerships, we've been able to promote our internships to build a strong pipeline of highly engaged, diverse candidates. In this session, I will share best practices for identifying potential partners, managing relationships with student groups, and bridging the gap between campus & industry.
