OneReq and Ten Thousand Coffees: Virtual Coffee (and tea) Chats
When people connect with each other, the best ideas, learnings and career “ah-ha’ moments happen. In this new remote world, these connections between people have never been more important. These networking and informal mentoring experiences are what enables our recruiter community to learn from each other as they shape the future of hiring, onboarding, and employee experience at their own organizations.
Today, we’re announcing our partnership with Ten Thousand Coffees to take a digital-first approach and accelerate two critical goals:
- Ten Thousand Coffees offers the ability to up level your company UR programs by providing talent opportunities to connect, whether it’s within the intern community, cross-functionally or within teams.
- Members can opt-in to receive knowledge sharing smart matches to other members
- Ten Thousand Coffees is providing their enterprise technology to URx as a private, invite-only community allowing URx members to select interests, goals, and topics then receive smart-matches to other community members for an informal coffee or tea
- Whether it’s to form informal mentoring, idea sharing opportunities or just to meet fellow recruiters – this digital-first approach helps all of our members tap into the brilliant minds of the URx network
- This experience is free for URx members
We’ll be announcing more information to sign-up and inaugural members hosting virtual coffee chats in late July.
Helping OneReq TA Community members innovate their internal, digital-first connectivity, networking and informal mentoring programs.
We have also heard from University Recruiters in our community that connections, informal mentoring and networking is critical to the success of any early career program. Whether it’s during onboarding, to meet colleagues in diversity networks, or to explore other teams – knowledge and culture sharing opportunities between colleagues is a core tenant of a successful employee experience.
Understanding this and the challenges that this new, virtual normal has created – URx has worked with Ten Thousand Coffees to create a solution for companies to solve for their early career connectivity, informal mentoring and networking. Community members interested in how they can leverage this solution for their own intern and new grads programs can join our roundtable to learn more – invites will be sent on July 21 for the July 29 session – hold the date!
Ten Thousand Coffees, a technology solution that creates data-driven connections between colleagues works with clients like RBC, IBM, PwC, AIG to help their early career hires build smart-matches to colleagues to drive career development, a connected culture, inclusion and retention. As recruiting, onboarding, & internship programs continue to be virtual for the foreseeable future, tools like Ten Thousand Coffees will help talent teams offer more delightful experiences and strengthen relationships with and for their candidates & hires alike.
As part of the partnership, when URx members bring Ten Thousand Coffees to their organizations, URx will receive a donation to support URx recruiting programs that support underrepresented students such as TalentBoard and InternHacks.
“We talk a lot about being community first at URx. This partnership is so exciting because it touches every aspect of what we care deeply about. Our community members get access to a tool that supports them in building fruitful professional connections and helps them have success in their roles.” said URx Founder, Wahab Owolabi. “Additionally, we’ve worked with Ten Thousand Coffees to bring a tried and tested solution to our members to help them innovate their talent programs in this new, remote world where culture and connectivity has never been more important, yet difficult.”
“We know that the best career, innovation, inclusion and ah-ha moments happen when two people connect – often over coffee or tea,“ said Dave Wilkin, Founder of Ten Thousand Coffees. “We’re excited to not only provide our enterprise technology to support URx community of early career innovators to help them connect and share with one another but also to bring a best-in-class solution to help members innovate within their own organizations early career programs.”
